How Will My School Benefit?

By participating in this no-cost program, districts see a range of benefits including:

  • Building teacher agency and confidence
  • Decreased professional isolation and frustration
  • Increased student writing proficiency
  • Improved student engagement
  • Access to NWP evidence-based curriculum supplements and formative assessments.

These benefits are provided at no-cost to the district. Participating teachers receive a $160 stipend for completing orientation and up to $300 annually for data collection activities.

Who Is Eligible?

Districts that have ambitious goals for student proficiency in writing are a good fit for this program. Writing proficiency supports future academic success across school subjects and into adult life.

This project is in its third and final year, with participants from 10 states and 16 school districts.

Districts and schools can still join the final year of this federal-grant-funded project, which will take place in the 2025-2026 school year. Schools must be Title I eligible or serve a large population of high-need students and serve Grades 7–8. Space is limited. Reach out soon to secure your district’s spot in the program.
